Motherhood is a beautiful time, but let’s face it there isn’t a manual t ensure you are doing it all right

MAYBE YOU’VE FOUND YOURSELF

Unable to feel comfortable, not knowing where your baby should be developmentally

Occupational therapy maximizes your baby’s development and improves their quality of life, through our gentle and playful therapeutic techniques. Whether your baby struggles with feeding, resists tummy time, excels at spit-ups, our specialized approach is designed to provide assistance and support. Discover how we can help your little one thrive.

You may want to consult with our team if your baby is experiencing one or more of the following issues: oral dysfunction/tongue tie/lip tie, bottle refusal, body tension, open mouth posture, asymmetry and/or torticollis, head shape concerns, motor milestone development

Feeding seems impossible

Feeding may seem like it should be biological and easy. It is far from that, yes biological in a sense but there is a learning curve for all. Pain should not be something you experience when breastfeeding. When bottle feeding, there should continue to be support for both mom and baby.

You may want to consult with our team if your infant is experiencing one or more of the following issues: we use a nipple shield, weight gain has been a challenge, baby frequently falls asleep during feeds, baby breaths fast or hard during feeds, frequent spit up between feeds, baby clicks or smacks while feeding

My baby hates tummy time and I just don’t understand how to play with an infant

Maybe this will ease your mind, tummy time is a position to play and not an activity itself. Meaning, it takes a lot of skills to enjoy tummy time. Building the strength and ability to stand tummy time takes practice. Playing with your baby can be more complex than you originally thought, there is a lot of starring off, falling asleep or just needing to be held.

You may want to consult with our team if your little on is experiencing one or more of the following issues: strongly valued routine/consistency, sensory processing concerns, social emotional development, nervous system regulation strategies, constipation, weak or tight muscles, fine motor difficulties, gross motor difficulties, ongoing oral motor challenges
